Running an Analysis
An analysis is set up in the New analysis wizard. The wizard has five steps, or six when the analysis includes a flight model:
Step |
Name |
What you do |
|---|---|---|
1 |
Upload |
Load the STEP or STL file of the aircraft. |
2 |
Geometry |
Confirm the orientation and the reference values. |
3 |
Flight |
Enter the speed, the mass, the centre of gravity and the air. |
4 |
Package |
Choose what to compute. |
5 |
Aircraft |
Assign the control surfaces and set up the motors (Full flight model and Multirotor only). |
6 |
Review |
Check the plan and launch the runs. |
The wizard saves a draft as you go. A draft appears in Projects with the state Draft, and opens again at the step where you left it. The CAD file of a draft is kept in the browser on that computer; a draft opened in another browser shows This draft is no longer available on this device.
The steps that you have completed are marked with a tick in the step list on the left. You can go back to any completed step by selecting it. After the runs are launched, the wizard is locked.
